"BLUE MIST MONTOYA" - FUN PLEASURE HORSE / HACK / ALLROUNDER

"Blue Mist Montoya", aka Toya is a 12 year old TB x East Coast Stationbred cross bay gelding by "Cointreau" (1/4 Clyde Stationbred stallion) out of the Thoroughbred "Living Word" (by Norfolk Air - steeplechaser, out of a Sir Tristram mare). Approx 15.3hh.
Toya is a lovely natured gelding who would make a great all-round pleasure horse for somebody looking to do some fun pleasure riding or low level riding club / pony club. He really loves hacking out up the bush trails and river, and is good to ride either on his own or in company.

Toya was bred by his owner and is sadly for sale due to owner's ongoing back problems making her unable to ride. Being a family favourite, Toya is being offered for sale to an approved home that will continue to care for him and love his character as his present family have done since he was born.
Toya is currently located at Chester Farm, where he is in light work hacking out regularly around the farm, bush and river.

"ASTEK GIGI" - GORGEOUS 3 YEAR OLD WARMBLOOD MARE

"Astek Gigi" is a very attractive 3 year old Hanoverian / Holsteiner mare by Gym Bello out of a Ramirez mare. Born December 2008. Bay with a big blaze and two white socks, she is a smaller warmblood type, expected to mature approx 15.2hh.
Well handled and cared for since birth, she is excellent to handle in all ways, catch, cover, feet, stable etc. Registered New Zealand Warmblood Assoc.

Great nature - calm, unflappable, sensible, very trainable with plenty of character - and lovely springy movement including an enormous walk. Very correct and well balanced conformation, fantastic natural topline and good bone.

Gigi was lightly started under saddle in August 2011, ridden in the round yard and walked out around the laneways at the top of our farm, and since turned out for a rest. She was very easy to get going under saddle and loves to work and be involved with anything that is happening. Her naturally confident nature and huge walk really came to the fore when hacking out, she just loves it! Gigi's pedigree holds super, proven jumping bloodlines on both sides (including her dam's full brother a Grand Prix showjumper) and we expect Gigi to show excellent jumping style and attitude. We can see this young mare making a particularly outstanding Showhunter prospect for a competitive smaller rider, or equally successful dressage, showing or even eventing prospect. Gigi will be brought back into work again and given further riding and mileage for 1 month including basic schooling and hacking out around the farm, river and bush etc before going to her new owner. (Additional training or agistment also available longer than 1 month if required for additional cost.)

**SOLD** "TIKI TAANE" - 3/4 TB 9 Year Old Coloured Gelding **SOLD**

Sold on behalf to a very competitive Young Rider from Christchurch, we know you will absolutely love this boy!

Tiki is a super natured, well conformed and very colourful chestnut and white gelding. Sired by a colt son of Pintado Desperado, and out of a TB mare, Tiki stands approx 15.3hh and is 9 years old.

Prior to arriving at Chester Farm, Tiki has been a pleasure hack and competitive western horse with his owner - meaning he is very light and responsive to ride and can turn on a sixpence! His excellent calm, easy going, no fuss temperament has seen us use him as a quiet hacking companion when taking young horses out on the roads and in the bush for the first time. He is great to hack out both alone and in company and is a reliable horse that anyone can ride, does not need to be ridden everyday.
Schooling nicely on the flat and over jumps up to 1.20m at home, Tiki also shows heaps of talent when free-jumping with a spectacular hind end! He has recently attended his first jumping competitions (ridden by both Greg and Diana), jumping double clear up to 1.10m and was also placed 2nd at Taupo Christmas Classic in the 1m class (over 200 starters).

Very uncomplicated horse, he is great to travel and easy to handle at shows. Great character - will do anything for a peppermint!
With his attractive colourful markings, excellent temperament, great rideability and versatility, Tiki is a great all-round prospect for either a young rider or adult that wants a fantastic pleasure horse or a super competitive showjumper with potential.

Sold on behalf to a young dressage rider in Auckland..

Very attractive, athletic and sporty Hanoverian / Thoroughbred gelding, 3 years old, by Gym Bello x Star Of Pegasus. Bay with 3 white socks & a star. EMH 16.2hh. "George" was bred by Astek Stud, his dam was sold in foal with George being the outcome. He is a full brother to "Astek Ginsling" (winner of just his second Training event start in Nov 2010 with Lizzie Brown), & half brother to "Astek Radiance" & "Astek Rantani" (by Ramirez) both owned by Chester Farm. Gym Bello's young progeny are already winners of National titles in Dressage, Showhunter, Showing and Champion Young Event horse classes.

George has a fantastic nature... he is a very willing, sensible and intelligent young horse with huge enthusiasm for doing things! A very generous young horse with great character. Very supple, athletic type with an excellent big walk, elastic trot with very good hock action and a big smooth ground covering canter. Forward moving, confident and calm to ride. Learns very quickly. Expected to show athletic jumping ability too.
Recently been started under saddle at Chester Farm, he is going very kindly under saddle walk trot and canter in both the round yard and in the arena and also going for rides hacking out on his own around the farm and bush tracks etc which he loves. **SOLD** "ASTEK RADIANCE" **SOLD**
- 5yo Holsteiner / TB Mare For Sale With Astek Stallion Service

Sold in foal to Gym Bello to a wonderful home in Auckland, we'll follow her foaling progress with great interest!

We are regretfully offering Radiance for sale due to injury with an Astek Stud stallion service to either Gym Bello (Gymnastik Star x Graf Landau) or Voltaire II (Voltaire x Nimmerdor).
By Ramirez out of a TB mare, Astek Radiance is a very attractive, well conformed type with heaps of character. Approx 16.2 - 16.3hh with 4 white socks, star/stripe.
At her first showjumping competition as a 4yo, the National Young Horse Showjumping Championships in April 2010, Radiance entered the 4yo Showjumping class (up to 1.10m) where she jumped clear over the first two days and then had one rail in the final, resulting in 8th place out of 37 starters.

Super jumping technique and attitude, she just loves to jump. Very rideable and loves to do things. Great to hack out. Can still be ridden.
Her older half brother "Astek Ginsling" recently won his 2nd Training eventing start with Lizzie Brown by 9 points (and was placed 8th with just 1 rail in the showjumping at his first Training event start). Also a half sister to George (listed above) and full sister to Astek Rantani (currently retained by Chester Farm). A family of good performance, character and athleticism which we expect Radiance to breed on.
Radiance is currently still at Chester Farm but is about to travel south to Astek Stud in Christchurch where she will be put in foal. Or buy her before we send her south and the semen from the stallion of your choice can be sent to you and you can save on travel costs to bring her back North!

**SOLD** "WHISPER" - 3/4 Connemara Pony Gelding**SOLD**

Sold on behalf to a local horsey family in Paeroa.

4 year old dapple grey pony gelding, approx 13.2hh. Whisper is a VERY CUTE little fella, full of character to the max. He's very talkative and loves attention.
Whisper was initially broken in and lightly ridden by his owners. He has been brought back into work and progressed further with us here at Chester Farm since end of June 2010.
He is very good to ride at walk, trot and canter and is quite confident to hack out around the farm on his own or in company. Also shows good form free-jumping, very bold natural jumper like his parents.

Whisper is a real dag and a character to have around. His owner bred him from their much loved pony mare who took the family through the grades.

His sire "Keltic O'Se" (Paddy) has recently been sold into the Auckland area, he used to do all facets of Pony Club and was well-placed at Show Hunter. Whisper's dam "Freya", by "Chilton Sunsilk", won alot in the show ring, games and jumping. She represented the Wellington area at area games, area dressage and Teams training, and jumped up to 1.10m.

Whisper is now all set to move on to a new home with someone a more suitable size to ride him! For sale with new 2010 winter season Weatherbeeta cover. Looking for a knowledgable home to take him on. A good home is important to his owners as he has been a much loved member of their family!

"VALENTINE" & "BLAZEE" - Two Character-Filled Stationbred Ponies
These two very cute 3 1/2 year old stationbred ponies have recently been broken in here at Chester Farm and are now being offered for sale by their owner.

**SOLD** "Valentine" **SOLD**

Sold on behalf to a brilliant high country station home in Marlborough.

- Black mare with one white hind sock and a big blaze. Rising 4 years old. Approx 14.2hh. Clydie X / Stationbred breeding, both of her parents have been excellent proven trekking ponies. Valentine is a very sensible, character filled pony with well balanced, correct conformation, lovely ground-covering movement and great natural jumping technique (as seen when free-jumping).

Valentine has been very easy to break in and has been hacking out down the road, around the farm, in the river and in the bush and is proving to be a very sure-footed ride who really enjoys going out and about - she especially loves going in the river and having a splash and a drink! A no fuss pony to handle, lunge, ride etc. Has now been under saddle for about 2 months. With a bit more mileage under her belt she will make a wonderful pony club mount, trekker, showhunter/jumper or just a super all-rounder for either an adult or a child who wants to have a great time and do a little bit of everything.

"Blazee" - Chestnut mare with flazen mane and tail, 2 white hind socks and a big blaze. Rising 4 years old. Approx 14.2hh. This gorgeous Stationbred pony is going to make a very smart mount for a competitive young rider or small adult. Blazee has top quality elevated movement, very good conformation and an adorable temperament, combined with her eyecatching looks and very impressive and consistent natural jumping technique and ability (as seen when free-jumping). A delight to handle, lunge and ride, she has been a lovely pony to work with and break in due to her responsive, willing temperament. Has now been working under saddle for about 2 months. Currently hacking out around the farm and roadsides and proving very sensible to ride out and about.

**SOLD** "RAVEL" - Swedish Warmblood / TB 8yo Gelding' **SOLD**

Sold on behalf to a lovely lady in Wellington, we wish them well.
8yo Chestnut gelding, approx 16 -16.1hh, white star, snip and hind sock.
Swedish Warmblood / TB breeding, he was bred via frozen semen by Flyinge Strauss (who was a member of the Swedish dressage team at the Atlanta Olympics and sire of successful GP dressage and SJ'rs) out of a Waikiki Star mare.

Ravel is a well conformed type, he has good warmblood movement with 3 quality paces and good jumping technique.
Low mileage for his age, he has done basic dressage schooling, hacking out and done some jumping up to 1m including small x-country logs etc and pony club outings with his owner who has owned him since he was broken in.

In training here at Chester Farm and being offered for sale on behalf of his owner, Ravel is currently in full work concentrating on his dressage flatwork and jump schooling. Confident jumper, not spooky. He also enjoys hacking out and is very good to ride out both alone and in company. Easy horse to have around, excellent to handle in all ways, stable, shoe etc.

Ravel is for sale and must sell due to his owners work and study committments. He would suit a confident rider looking for a well bred, attractive horse as an allrounder / dressage / jumping prospect.

**SOLD** "BEAU" - Clyde X 8yo Gelding **SOLD**

Sold on behalf to a great home in Auckland region.
8yo Clyde/TB X gelding. Approx 16.3hh, good looking hunter type gelding, dark brown (almost black) with white socks and blaze. Medium bone, quite refined for his breeding.
Recently brought back into work here at Chester Farm after approx 8 months turned out (through no fault of his own). Prior to this he has been hacked out, successfully competed in showhunter, also done some hunting with current owners.
Beau has 3 good light, active paces and is currently doing basic flatwork, jump schooling and hacking out alone and in with company. Currently being ridden in a snaffle all disciplines.
Owner has given up riding so wishes to sell.
